Synopsis:
A multi-generational story about what it means to share a life with someone, "The Divorce Party" presents two immensely appealing women: Gwyn, who is facing the end of her marriage, and Maggie, who is trying to navigate the beginning of hers.

Review:

Not an entirely new concept- throwing a party to celebrate the end of a marriage - more than one divorce has been celebrated with copious amounts of tequila and rakish Ex bashing. However, a couple throwing a party that would rival most wedding receptions to toast the years they had together and wish each other best in the future is something out the pages of a self-help book.

This enjoyable novel by Laura Dave uses such a celebration as the catalyst behind The Divorce Party told fromthe perspective of the parties hostess and her soon to be daughter-inlaw. As the parties final preparations are put in place for a perfect party it becomes clear that things are not as they seem and the party begins to unravel.

Another fantastic book you can recommend to just about anyone - and I've got one to give away!
