The Castaways

As promised! I've been reading!

Title: The Castaways
Author: Elin Hilderbrand
Publisher: Little Brown and Company
Genre: Contemporary Fiction
Pages:368 (Hardcover)
On Sale:July 7, 2009

Synopsis:
Greg and Tess MacAvoy are one of four prominent Nantucket couples who count each other as best friends. After Greg and Tess are killed when their boat capsizes, the islanders mourn the loss. But nothing can prepare the MacAvoys' closest friends for what will be revealed.

My Review:
The Castaways explores not only the aftermath of an unexpected and tragic accident but also the relationships adults form. Written from the perspective of each of the adult survivors of this seemingly close knit group of friends the reader experiences the revelations of how couples friendships form, what binds them, the secrets they keep from each other, and what it is that can destroy them. An enjoyable read I had a difficult time putting down Elin Hildebrand has written a compelling novel I can easily recommend to anyone.

I give The Castaways by Elin Hilderbrand

I kept having trouble keeping everyone straight. Now who is she married too? Which one is he? That sort of thing.

I really liked her book "The Blue Bistro".
