This is a compensated review from BlogHer and Pantene Full & Thick
Although my daughter did recently tell me that 50 is the new 40 - making 40 the new 30 - I'm still not real comfortable with the idea of not being a spring chicken. I'm doing some things to combat it, trying to make lifestyle changes to make the process less tiring, and some things to make it less noticeable; what I'm not really doing is anything to reverse the signs of aging...except when it comes to my hair.
I get that grey hair can be colored (which I'm not doing yet) and I'm still ticked off that I can have pimples and grey hair at the same time; what I wasn't ready for is the other things aging & hypothyroidism have done to my hair.
I have always had a full head of fine hair. Fine hair I could deal with as long as it looked good, had a nice texture and was manageable. Never the master of my hair I have always had "help" along the way from various products, friends and more than occasional stylist intervention. Sure, I have had more than my fair share of bad hair days so I was certain that as I aged the cosmos would balance themselves out and I would be one of those really lucky people whose hair got better with age. I was, quite apparently, wrong.
Over the last year things have changed; my fine hair has gone through a texture change, it is not naturally lustrous anymore, it has thinned, and there are these wild looking wiry grey hairs popping out everywhere. The hardest things to take have been the changes in texture and the thinning so when I was approached by Pantene to try their Full & Thick Shampoo and Conditioner I was immediately on board.... and it's working.
Sure, I still have those wiry grey hairs popping out here and there, but I really feel like my hair has a better texture, I know for a fact that the thinning has slowed considerably, and I might even refrain from calling my hair fine for the first time ever.
After just 2 weeks of use - I'm sold.
So - I bet you're wondering about that contest I may have mentioned up there....

I don't suppose it's fair that I demand you tell me about your worst hair day without going first....I have so many to choose from.....the poodle perm in high school comes immediately to mind (when I was hoping for one of those really neat perms that were all the rage in the 80's)...I'll go more recent....something fresher....
Eleven years ago my company decided to make some major changes and, as part of the changes, every employee was to have new head shot taken and be part of the great big company photo. Given my history of bad photos I was paralyzed with fear and rightfully so. as the details of this photo shoot unfolded.
The morning of the big shoot I spent a lot of time and used a lot of "product" in hopes of taming and keeping calm my hair in the overwhelming July humidity. Knowing I would be outside for only minutes (from house to car and from car to office) wasn't comforting, my hair only needed seconds to stage a rebellion.
I went heavier than I typically would with products and I sprayed my hair within an inch of it's life (my apologies to the ozone I had no idea). I dressed carefully, even requiring assistance to get my sweater over my head without disturbing the hair that had taken an hour to shellac, and braved the elements.
The first phase of my trip wasn't too bad, the humidity was shockingly high but my hair managed to stay calm and I appeared well kept. I know because I checked my hair and make-up obsessively as I navigated through heavy traffic. During the drive I began to sweat from nerves and anxiety over my hair....so I turned the A/C on full blast and pointed all the vents directly at my fact to reduce the chance of my make-up running down my face.
And then the worst thing ever happened; it started to rain and I had left my umbrella at home.
Despite my usual "no running" policy I ran from my car to the office door, but all my effort was futile. I arrived looking like a drowned rat and had no hope of restoring what had been. I tried to comb out my hair in an attempt to look somewhat presentable but all of the product I had used that morning began to reacting against each other and started making these little white balls of goo all over in my hair, not even a ponytail made things okay.
The look was so awful HR offered to reschedule my head shot for a different day - but the big company photo, well that lives on.
Fortunately I won't be having these kinds of hair days anymore, all I have to do is figure out why I keep getting pimples... I bet it can be blamed on stress from the teenagers.

I had corn rows in for several months and the day I took them out my hair was so nasty, greasy, dirty - definitely tops my list! Thanks! thebubbledies(at)gmail(dot)com
The day I cut my bangs before the 7th grade class picture. I used a curling iron as a guide to cut it straight, but ended up cutting on top of the iron instead of the bottom. So I had 1/4" bangs. Mom took me to Supercuts to fix...so I just put all the blame on them.
Thanks for the giveaway >^..^<

Worse hair day was one day when I was in highs chool, waiting at the bus stop and a bird pooped in my hair just as the bus pulled up. Kids can be so cruel! No way to get it out of my hair, just had to ride the bus with all the kids teasing me... and you can imagine the nicknames I was called after that! oh how I miss those days, NOT!

worst hair day would be after all summer swimming and having to get color and conditioning treatments for that lovely chlorine green tinge

Most Mondays qualify as the worst hair day, ever. With two young children, mornings are rushed but, somehow, Monday's are the worst. They just are...

It was when I was 12..I wanted long spiral curls and went in with my stepmother and her daughter to her friend for a perm. Her daughter ended up with what I wanted..and what did I get? Short and wavy..I looked like orphan Annie!!

I had been dyeing my hair dark brown (with permanent haircolor) but decided to go back to blonde. Not realizing the hazards of bleaching out hair dye, I bought a drugstore color-removal kit -- which turned my hair neon orange! Thinking that I just needed to remove the rest of the color, I begged my mom to pick up another kit from the drugstore for me. Using that turned my hair LEMON YELLOW, with neon orange ends. By that time, my hair was so fried that it wouldn't hold the dark brown haircolor that I tried to use to cover my horrible mistake. I made a desperate call to my hairdresser (at home, late on a Saturday night) to beg for help. He ended up opening the salon for me on Sunday morning and managed to turn my hair an ugly, albeit human, color so that I could hold my head up at the office on Monday. Never, never again.
My worst hair day was in 6th grade, when I still had the awful "pixie" haircut I had had throughout elementary school because it was easy to care for and my mom thought it was "cute." (I hated it...) We were having a garage sale and as we were up north, it was cold and I had on a puffy down jacket. A woman told her child to "give the nice boy your money" and I burst into tears "I'm a GIRL!!" and proceeded to run in the house bawling. I was allowed to grow my hair after that, thank heavens!

my worst hair day ever was on a hunid hot rainy day , I stopped to help a lady pick up packages she dropped and the local news caught me helping + looking horrid + put me on tv as somebody you might not expect to help but stopped to help when all the normal people walked right by her - I had been painting all day + was in old clothes + my curls were crazy messy
too bad I can't show you a picture. I have thick curly hair, and it gets to be a big puffball, especially in humid weather. Basically, if I don't wash and style it in the morning, it looks bad, but most mornings getting the kids ready, I don't have time to do so. So most mornings are my worst hair day.
To be honest I have bad hair days EVERYDAY... My hair is straight and won't hold curl. It has no volume or body to speak of. I suppose if I didn't abuse my hair as much as I do it may be a little more manageable. I have left dyes and highlight kits on too long. Have accidentally turned my hair white, orange, and almost green.

I had my very long hair cut at a salon. Wanting a change I kept saying let's cut it shorter, by the time I was done my hair was way too short and I hated it. It was my own doing as I insisted we keep cutting. Worse yet my then 6 month old didn't even recognize me he was so shocked. LOL
My worst day ever has to be the day I took my senior portrait. I didn't realize it at the time, but if you saw the picture now I'm sure you'll agree!
When I was a teenager I went to my hairdresser to get my hair cut...she began talking to my mom and cutting and cutting and cutting...I was thinking that since I had only wanted it trimmed it was going to be bad bad bad...when she finally stopped her conversation and I saw her face I knew it would be hideous which it was....it took all summer to grow and I was miserable! But hey it's only hair right!

My worst hair day was when I stupidly decided to dye my blond hair red. My hair turned out very dark and with my fair skin I looked like a vampire.

My worst hair day was actually this year during ice storm 2009. We were 13 days without electric and heating water to wash on a woodstove and using pitchers of water to wash our hair with. Drying it by the woodstove and well, Yeah, worse hair day!
dawns_horizen@yahoo.com
I would say one of my worst bad hair days was when I was a teen bleached my hair. I had to go around for a day with the bright orange hair for a day.

My worst hair day ever? EVERY day is my worst hair day! i have NEVER had a good hair day.
Worst hair day? So many to choose from.... I'm going to go with the Bahamas cruise I took back in the 80's. There was brutal sun, killer humidity, and the fact that I was sweating like a longshoreman. So my hair looked like a wet squirrel pelt in all the pictures that the ship's photographer *insisted* on snapping every time I turned around.
I've had many many bad perms over the years so there's that, but I think it may have been the worst when I decided to become a redhead. My son has the most gorgeous red hair and I tried to duplicate it, but it really didn't work and when I looked at our vacation pictures, it really hit home for me. Thank you for the great giveaway!
Mine was in the 80's. I decided to let my GF do my hair for a big party and she gave me big hair. It stuck up high in the front and lots of spray to plaster it to stick out over the ears. It was so awful.
:) Thank you for the wonderful giveaway! :)
My worst is when I cut it myself I had to keep re cutting my bangs over and over again to get them straight ending up with them way to short
My worst hair-day EVER was the day of a family wedding in Arizona. I styled my hair as I normally do for an outdoor event, went outside and watched my normally smooth hair puff up like it was the 1980's again. I guess I just wasn't used to dealing with such crazy heat! asthenight at gmail dot com

THe day I let Lenna Kaleva (from the 80's cult film Liquid Sky) paint a yellow stripe diagonally into my hair. It was for Halloween and I was scary.
I got a perm and looked like a poodle. It was the only time in my life I ever cried over my hair. Luckily my friends mom helped out and gave me another perm, straitening it out this time. It wasn't perfect, but I was able to stop crying.

I had a job interview. So I made a hair appointment with this guy I had never been to before. Turned out he was high on cocaine that day and shaved the back of my hair into a V shape (I am very conservative). I looked like a freak and I did not get the job.

Mine had to be when my mother decided to perm my hair and I ended up looking like a mushroom...worst hair week ever. It took forever for it to grow out
I would say it was growing out bangs! Never again!
OMG! I remember when I was younger and my dad took me to get a perm. It didn't take. Sooo, 3 days later, he took me back to the same salon and they did it over..this time it took...all too well! I looked like a poodle! UGH!
Thanks for the great giveaway!

My worst hair day was when I was in the 4th grade. The night before class picture day, my mother decided to give me a perm...one of those harsh over the counter old home perms. She rolled it on the smallest rods, after cutting my bangs, of course. My hair fried and my bangs shrunk up to the very edge of my roots.
Picture day sucked.
My most memorable and most documented worst hair day ever was a wedding in San Francisco. I spent all day primping and curling and styling my hair only to realize when we stepped out the door that it the infamous San Francisco fog had rolled in. My 'do was in a droopy frizz by the time we reached the church. Yeah, it seems like a contradiction to be droopy and frizzy at the same time, but believe me, that SF fog is evil!
My worst hair day ever was when I got one of those really bad 80's perms 3 days before my senior prom. It wasn't pretty at all...I looked like a poodle!
just last week i dyed my hair and it was waaaaaaaaay too dark.
I had long hair and wanted it short no one I tried to get to cut it would do it I was in the 6th grade. Finally my mother made me get a perm because she did not like to hair. I end up looking like a poodle I wanted to cry. and all the girl who did it said is IT LOOKS SO HEALTHY
Let's just say a 'memorable' haircut that resulted in my hair never being the same and after finding a really good hairdresser, it took my hair literally FIVE years to return to normal. It made finger caught in a socket look sleek and beautiful, that should pretty much cover just how BAD it really was! I have pictures, but NO ONE is getting their eyes on those pictures! I use them when I've having a bad hair day, to remind myself what a bad hair day REALLY looks like!
That would be when I was sixteen - I stupidly died my hair black, and it turned out a strange dark violet color, it was TERRIBLE. What made it worse is that even though the bottle said "semi-permanent" it was in fact permanent and I had to get my hair bleached three times to get it out. So my hair looked like straw and striped. It was the worst hair moment of my life, thank God I got over the hair coloring trend!

i guess my worst hair day ever was the day i had a botched bleach job done on my dark hair. i guess we didnt leave it on long enough? the bad part was that it was the day before a vacation, but a few weeks later it looked much better when my roots came in. thanks for the giveaway!
When I was 12, I decided to shave off my widow's peak!

My worst hair day ever would have to have been the day of my prom. I wanted to wear my hair down but everything we tried just didn't seem to work. I ended up wearing it in an updo, which, although it looked nice, was not at all what I had wanted. The worst part. When I got home from the post prom and took all the bobbypins out, my hair looked great! Ugh.
Love the new Pantene shampoo!!!
I was an extra in a movie set in the 1960s, and was given a huge beehive hairdo, teased and sprayed with about a can of hairspray. The day AFTER this hairdo debacle was my worst hair day ever. It took six shampoos to get the hairspray out, which left my hair frizzy beyond belief! Hidious!
My worst day, when I got a hair cut at lunch time while at work.. and my straight hair had a long strings in the back.... and I had to wait until next day to go back and fix it.
Worst hair day ever was when I dyed my hair and the chlorine from the pool turned my hair green
Funny you should ask this. It was a few days ago. The women in my family have thin hair- just something we have to deal with. I am naturally light brown, but I dye my hair black--it looks better with my coloring.Well, apparently it's been too long between touch ups because when I was out having coffee with my mom the other day she said,"Are you balding?! Oh no, that's just your roots.."
Guess who fought back tears and made a speedy appointment with her hairdresser?

I decided I wanted to make my hair look curly by braiding it at night and having it wavy in the morning. Instead of the "beachy" waves I was hoping for, I ended up with crimped frizz!
jamielz@verizon.net
One of my worst hair days was when I got a permanent--it was really, really curly all over my head--I hated it.

My worst hair day ever lasted for months. After my daughter was born I decided that I wanted to get something done to my hair. I wanted hightlights (to help hide the gray). I went to a school for inspiring hairdressers (mistake #1) and said that I wanted highlights that looked natural and blended in to hide the gray. Well, I let this young lady talk me into bleaching sections of my hair and wrapping in foil (mistake #2) I looked like some kind of funky skunk. I have dark brown hair and she left if in way to long and the sections were way to wide. It was the worst day, week, months of my life.
mbrandt1974@yahoo.com
My worst hair day was about a year ago I was taking a bath and my daughter was in there and wanted to shampoo my hair. I let her. When she was done, she had shaved the top of my head with a razor in a spot so that I had twigs sticking up on top of my head. Never again! LOL
My worst hair day is everyday. It's so unruly and frizzy. I hate it!
hebert024 at aoldot com
I've had plenty of bad hair days, but the worst had to be from my high school days in the 80s. Why did I think my bangs needed to be plastered up so high?!
Over fried my hair by doing a home perm.
My worst hair day ever was when I went on the back of a motorcycle and had no hair tie. When I took off my helmet my hair was so full of knots it took me hours to get a comb through it. I was so scared I'd havc to get it cut off.
denyse_g@hotmail.com
My worst hair day(s) was when I was a teenager and let my mom give me a home perm, I still cringe when I think about it.
My hair use to be a mess when I was younger. I could never get it under control. for awhile everyday was a bad hair day for me.
my biggest hair mistake was when i was a teen and got some glamour shots done, i loved the way they curled my hair so i stupidly decided to get a perm in hopes of having my hair look like that, WRONG, the day after my hair was fried, and it took me a yr to grow it all out but its never been like it used to be....
My worst hair day ever left me in tears. I went to a shop that a frenemie recommened (should have known better). I asked for a very cute Halle Berryesque hair cut even showed various pictures. This stupid self centered beautician buzz cut my hair. Appearently she thought I told her to shave me like a marine and then wouldn't even offer up so much as an apology. I literally cried the whole way home ( after reading her the riot act of course). She's the reason I do my hair myself from now on.
My worst hair day was when i lost my glasses, I though I was reaching for a can of hairspray. I had finished spraying my hair only to realize that it was a can of Lysol.
Seems like every day is a bad hair day for me:(
My worst hair day had to be when I was a teenager and my Mom decided she was going to cut my bangs. She couldn't get them even so she kept cutting. She cut and cut and I ended up with bangs about 1/2" long and I cried for days.
My worst hair day ever was when i decided to take my super fine hair from brunette to blond.
I put the color in my hair and let it process but when I rinsed and removed the towel my hair was fried.
It stood straight out on the sides of my head and I could not get a comb or brush through it to save my life.
It was horrible and I looked just like Ronald McDonald !
Needless to say,the next day I was at the salon. And I had to have a crew cut. Never again lol.
My worst hair day was back in the 80's when big bangs were in style. Lots of hairspray! It started raining this day, and my bangs literally melted and turned into an unbrushable brick on my forehead. I had to be seen like that for the rest of the day.

My worst hair day ever was picture day in 6th grade. A neighbor crimped my hair and put it in a side ponytail. That is the ugliest picture in the world. lol Thank you!
The worst was when I was going on a cruise and decided to get a "body perm" for my fine hair. DEE-SASTER!
Miss Frizz goes to sea.
Any day I can't find one of my many hairbrushes is a bad day. My hair gets super tangled.

I always have a bad hair day with wavy and cruly hair it never does what you want it to.
erma.hurtt@sbcglobal.net
My worst hair I think would be years of the pixie haircut. My mother hated to brush out my hair so for years we would go to get it all chopped off. My hair is thick and grows fast so this would be quite often. This continued until my early teens when I rebelled at this notion and allowed my hair to grow to my waist. Even to this day I allow my hair to grow long. It reaches to about my knees.
cjnedrow@gmail.com
when i bleached strands of my hair to have a shock of blond.
Worst hair day was probably when I was about 12 years old and decided to get a little scissor-happy in the bathroom. My school picture that year included brand new sideburns and a very strangely angled set of bangs. LOL!
Thanks for hosting this contest :]
My biggest challenge is fine hair. I need help with those!!!! Make me a winner!
My worst hair day ever was when I accidentally used "Darkening Shampoo" that was left in the bathroom and learned that I don't seem to evenly cover all of my hair when I shampoo it.
I looked like a calico for a few days until it fixed itself
jess.m.dennis@gmail.com
My worst hair day was on my 8th grade picture day, my bangs looked like a bird nest gone wrong.
My worst hair day was when i was 12 years old and my mom took me to get a perm. All that comes to mind after that for all these years, is Poodle! To this day my husband has still never seen any of my poodle pics!
My worst hair day was the 2 months after I went to a discount hair cut place for a simple layed cut. There was a brand new beautician starting that day, and with the luck of the draw, I got her. I was pleased that she didn't take long to cut my hair because I hate sitting in that chair. But when she swiveled the chair around to look at the results, I HAD A MULLET! THIS WAS 1995! MULLETS WERE NOT IN STYLE IN 1995! Awful, awful, awful!

got my uber long, curly hair cut very short - loved it! then it started growing out - can you say Little Orphan Annie? Oh, yeah, we had a huge to-do for my hubby's work and I didn't get a chance to get it cut again before the shin-dig. T-E-R-R-I-B-L-E! also have hypothyroidism and it has wreaked havoc on my hair, nails and skin. if you know of any products that would help, I'd love to hear about them. trinitygsd at yahoo dot com
My worst hair day ever was, of course, picture day, sophomore year. I hated Picture Day, that single hair "moment" that could haunt you thru yearbook history. I spent hours in preparation of this important high school event: curling my hair and spraying and fluffing, etc. ect. (80's hair took a lot of time) Everything's going great, on my way to the gym for pictures, stop for a sip at the water fountain and BLAM! The water shoots straight up and I'm completely drenched. My hair was a sticky mess and the remains of my make-up looked like there'd been an avalanche on my face. I refused to have my picture taken, instead I went to the girl's locker room and took a shower. It was awful.

WORSE HAIR DAY WAS WAKING UP TO A HAIR CUT THAT I DID NOT ASK FOR ! i LOVE MY BABY SISTER. I LOVE MY BABY SISTER. LOL.
Worst hair day was in Jr. High School when my Mom gave me a perm that frizzed and it looked like an Afro that would fit in a bushel basket! Thanks! senekers@comcast.net
My absolute worst hair day was the day that I decided to change my hair coloring routine. Instead of my normal two step hair color I was going to go to a darker color and put in blind highlights.
By the time I was done I had a combination of red and platinum blonde hair. Normally it is honey colored.
I had to run up to Walgreens to try and find something to strip the color out. I looked like a really bad Billy Idol impressionist. I still shudder...
I let a friend give me a perm & I ended up with a giant frizzy afro looking doo.
I can't recall any one bad hair day. I have fine hair that I have never been able to do much with so every day is pretty much a bad hair day. And as I've gotten older it seems to be even worse. I'd love to try this. Thanks for the giveaway!

My worst hair day ever was the day I decided to trim my bangs myself. My hair was wet and I didn't realize it shrinks when it dries--and I cut about 2 inches too much. I looked like Leonard Nimoy--fine for him, but bad on me!
My worst hair day was in high school when my friend forgot to put the guard on the buzzer while he was cutting my hair! Thanks.
When I was 7 my mom decided I needed to get a perm. Why?? I dont know. It turned out kinky with way to tight curls and we couldnt do anything wiht it for weeks and weeks. It was horrible and I have quite a few really bad hair days!
Honestly, I can't remember :)
I have short hair and it's usually pretty ok!

Can I take you back to the day I found my first gray hair? I was 23 (!) years old and working at Walt Disney World. One day, I was manning the Carousel and this kid on an outside horse decided it would be fun to hang onto the pole and swing his legs out over the concrete. The next day, I had a gray hair. I blame that kid.
Remember shag haircuts? Had one when I was 11 or 12--simply awful. Took way too long to grow out, too.
My worst hair day ever was my friend's wedding. We hadn't had the hairdresser practice ahead of time, and she wound up giving me a beehive! And we're talking in like 1998!
So instead of the bride relaxing before her wedding, she was helping me wash my hair!
It's happened a few times. I get ready, am heading out the door, and there's a flip in my hair that won't stay down for anything. Some times I solve the issue by just starting over and re-washing my hair...
My worst hair day ever was probably the day of my 8th Grade school picture!
I tweeted here: http://twitter.com/ThriftyJinxy/status/3065885024
It was the night before I started 5th grade at a new school, and I was super nervous. To placate me, my Mom agreed to make shish kebabs on the grill. She sent me outside to light the grill. After 5 minutes of trying, unsuccessfully, I shut the lid and came back inside to tell her that I couldn't get it working. She told me to press the red button harder, so I went back outside and did just that. Sadly, quite a lot of propane had built up, because I had left the gas on and the lid closed. The minute I lifted the lid just a bit and it had a little oxygen, it went off like a bomb. I was blown across our deck and into the side of the house. But that wasn't the worst of it. My eyebrows were burnt completely off, I had blisters on my nose and forehead, and my hairline was burnt a good two inches back. In short, I looked like a complete and utter freak when I started school the next day. Looking back on it, it's rather hilarious, but at the time? Worst. Thing. EVER!
My worst hair day was when I found out all the curls I got from an expensive perm failed to stand the first shower. Outrageous!
after a late night, i had no time to shower in the morning nor wash my hair, and spent the day with bad bedhead
My worst hair day was when I was in 4th grade and my mom decided to give me bangs- that's the moment i found out i am not a bangs girl. i was teased mercilessly - it seems it took forever for those hideous things to grow out - it made such an impact i've never ever gotten bangs again

When I was working as a police officer. I was working a really bad traffic accident, in the rain, well, I have UNRULY curls, so they had to dry on their own afterwards leaving me with a God awful mess. Oh, the dedication I have.
My worst day - I had just gotten a "sun-kissed" color on my hair, went swimming at the local public pool, which had too much chlorine, and my hair turned a light shade of green. UGHHHHHH!!!
My worst hair day was back in the 90s. I had got a perm in my hair before we left to drive 1200 miles to visit family. On the way there our air-conditioner quit working so we had to drive with the windows down. It was in the middle of July so Hot and Humid, I looked awfull by the time we got there!!
my worst hair day was the day I cut it in the back. Everyone asked me if I did it
Worst hair day ever? I had waist length straight beach (yes, beach not bleach) blonde hair and it was what people paid a fortune for at the salons with the natural highlights and some baitch at the salon cut it off to my freaking ears.
It didn't look bad and I got used to it but I went in for a trim and I was steamed. And I smashed up a few things on my way out.
I am almost over my vanity. You can tell by the dddiva name, I know. ;)

My worst hair day was when I ran out of conditioner and had to blow dry my hair completely because it was so cold outside - I had flyaway, static-filled hair all day at work. I had to keep spritzing it w/ water to try to keep it under control.

when i was in high school i woke up late and i took a shower and didn't rinse the conditioner out of my hair to well and it wouldn't dry right so i looked like i had greasey hair all day long. bill110@optonline.net
My worst hair day ever was back when I was in high school and I had a perm. Yea, yea, yea, we all did that, and have experienced the horror of regretting it the minute we looked at ourselves in the mirror. Kids in high school can be brutal and when I went to school the next day after I had, had my perm the boys called me rats nest. Can you imagine how a 16 year old felt having the boys in her class mumble rats nest every time they walked by me. It was humiliating, and it especially totally diminished any self confidence I had at that time. To this day, I still shiver when I think of how I felt. So, when I went home from school after the 3rd day of all the boys calling me rats nest, I washed my hair like 3 times wishing I could get all the perm "stuff" out of my hair, but that just made it a frizzy mess. I ended up being creative for the next week, enduring the ridicule and wearing my hair in a pony tail. Luckily after a couple of weeks I was able to pretty much blow dry it straight and eventually the name calling came to an end. To this day, I am so careful about what it put on my beloved head of locks! I would love, love nothing more than to use Pantene hair care products on my hair! I have long, thick, hair that I take great pride in caring for! Thanks so much for the chance to enter.

In 2006, I wanted to lighten my blonde hair and used a product that was too harsh. I ended up with super bright, almost orange hair. That day, I had a big event to attendwith family and friends and I was so embarrassed. One of myi family members asked me, "What were you thinking?" vidomich(at)yahoo(dot)com
My worst hair day was when I was in college. I decided that I wanted a perm. Not the thing for me. I hated it from the word go, but it was even worse when on my way to class the next morning it was pouring, and I had no umbrella. New perm, and rain + POOF!! Sooo, not good.
Thanks for the chance!

I'm sorry, I've only had bad hair YEARS! In fact, from 1992-1993, my hair stuck straight up, totally out of my control.

I allowed my 14 year old best friend who wanted to be a hair dresser give me a home perm. I had very long straight hair and ended up with very long fried tangled hair. I had to get most of it cut off. OMG as a teenager I almost died. The irony is she actually did become a hair dresser by profession.
My worst hair day ever was when one time I colored my hair. It was supposed to be dark brown and it turned out Jet Black, I looked horrible!

I have curly hair so I thought I would try to straighten it with straighting product. It left my hair stinky and feeling like straw. I never did that again.
It always seems that I am having a bad horrible hair day when pictures are being taken. You have to love those where the wind is blowing on top of the bad hair day. I think my worst picture ever when I was in Junior High and I tried to look cool and I fixed my hair crazy before the picture thinking it really looked good. Um yeah, just showed the dork in me even more. Thank you.

Worst hair day was my worst hair year.
Dorothy Hamill bowl cut.
Worse yet, horrifyingly.....the whole family had the same cut.
I can't look at pictures from that time without cringing.
I wore a hoodie for a month in the middle of August to hide it.
When I was in junior high scholl I was in a play called "Teahouse of the August Moon" Playing a Japanese girl with my blond hair wouldn't work so we sprayed it black for the play (What, no wigs available?) I had to go to school one day with black hair. It was my longest day EVER!
My worst hair day ever? Unfortunately it was High School graduation and I have the pics to prove it. I had come down with a horrible cold a week before graduating, I hadn't slept it 48 hours, I was coughing, sneezing, blowing my nose, it was a wreck. My hair looked just as awful as I did. it was a dry frizzy mess, even with straightening it and adding smoothing balm. I caulk it all up to no sleep and being dehydrated, but it was awful! I still cringe when I see my grad pics.

My worst hair day was when I was 13. I let my older sister do a perm on my hair. I should mention that a year prior to that I had lightened my entire head with Sun-in (an entire bottle of it). So, when the rollers came out, so did my hair! I was in the bathroom pulling out chunks of melted hair and bawling my eyes out. I had to do the gel "wet look" for an entire school year because I couldn't even brush it.

Worse hair day ever was years ago I got a spiral perm and it looked really nice right after she did it..Well~the next day I washed it and I couldn't even comb it~It was like doll hair!! I had to get it all cut off...
The one and only hair perm I ever had was done by a girlfriend...after my hair started falling out, I had to cut it all off, I was nearly bald!

My worst hair day was when the windows in the car would not go up. The electrical system was broken and the windows were down. Rain first, hot and humid all the way home. My hair could have been in a horror movie.
My worst hair day was on a sunny October day when I was 17 years old.
I went into a JC Penny salon and asked for a perm.
What I got was a huge, frizzy, wiry mess!
The lady who was responsible too one look at me and said, "At least it's Halloween!"
I remember once I got a perm and she didn't apply the solution correctly so one side was curly and one side was just slightly wavy. It was awful!

I was a senior in high school and about to get my pictures taken, and I decided to bleach my hair. It started breaking off, and I had to get it cut short, and I couldn't dye it again and it was some horrible apricot color. Gah!

Thanks

My worst hair day was the day I woke up with 2 pieces of chewing gum stuck in my hair and all over my arms. I had to work for days to get it out.
oooh- tenth grade, over bleaching- then the subsequent bob afterwards! :D Ended up lookin like a white poodle!

I once dyed my hair and left the hair dye in about 45 minutes by accident...my hair was crisp and totally fried. It took about 2 weeks of daily heavy, deep moisturizing to even get it close to healthy...and even then it was still brittle.

My very first date. I went to get a trim so my hair would look nice on my date, but the lady cute about 4 inches more than I wanted off, and I had short hair. My date was not happy with me having short hair. Nor was I.

i live at the beach whre the weather is moist,i already have thick curly hair, patene is the only shampoo which keeps the frizzy's done
My worst hair day was on a trip to Switzerland. they were holding a USA themed 4th of July festival. When we got there it rained so hard that my hair gel was dripping in my eyes and I eneded up looking waterlogged.
My worst hair day ever was when I was about 9 and I wanted a perm so my mom decided to do it herself! It turned out horribly and I ended up having a giant curl right in the middle of my forehead. I had to deal with it for months of course and I doubt I will ever get one again!

My worst hair day was probably when I decided I wanted to get a perm the day before school pictures when I was about 13. It was AWFUL! I had huge frizzy hair and I was new to the perm thing so I didn't have any good hair products to try and fix it. I ended up putting my hair in a huge frizzy pony tail so at least you couldn't see much of it in the pictures!

Thanks for the giveaway... One particular Bad Hair Day happened during college when I decided to dye my dark brown hair to green for St. Patrick's Day; I failed to read the fine print of the rather lengthly instruction sheet which cautioned against excessive exposure to sunlight while your hair was colored...gradually my green hair turned auburn, almost orange, after a day or so.

I waited until a week before a big event so that my hair would look good, I went to the salon to get my hair frosted(highlighted)
The girl must not know what she was doing because my hair was spotted, thick frost in areas and none in others, she had also burned my shoulder length hair into a mass of frizz, I eneded up having to get it cut short and spent months with nasty looking hair
Thank you so very very much

worst hairday??? i can only count on my fingers for a good hairday.
likeyou, i have fine, thin hair.
it's a real problem trying so many different products to get some body, any kind of body.
i'm totally afraid to go to a hairdresser , as i live in a very small town now, if it's cut wrong, it takes forever to grow out, and i'm stuck with it.
if Pantene helps, i would be a purchaser forever. GIVE ME SOME VOLUME!!!!
My worst hair day was when I got a "trendy" lopsided hair cut. One side was kept long, the other was extremely short. I got made fun of at school and after that always kept my hair long (and even on both sides.) I had forgotten all about that!

My worst hair day ever was last year when I was on vacation. It started out fine, but as the day wore on, my hair wore down too. I had the most hair blown, tossed, out of place hair ever

I think my worst hair day was when I dyed my hair brown with a red tint. I thought it was going to be just a red highlight, but it turned out bright red! I cried and then found a brown haircolor and redyed it. It looked okay after the second dye job, but I was worried it wasn't going to, and the next day we were scheduled to go on a bus tour. Thanks for having the contest!
I have very frizzy curly hair, and once I was on a date and had straightened it. It was a 4th of July party and it started to sprinkle - well my cute hair turned into a big poofy mess. I was so unhappy - lol- I didn't have anything to tie it up with.
When I was seven I went to Fantastic Sam's and fell asleep in the chair. I had superlong hair that had no bangs, the hairstylist destroyed my hair as he gave me bangs. No, let me explain, they were the world's smallest bangs, looked like little spiky bits of hair that I could have done myself in the dark if I wanted too! After he was done destroying my hair, I looked in the mirror and cried.
when I was in 8th grade and I had bangs that were cut way too short

I have very fine hair and while in high school my mother decided that I needed a perm for some 'volume'. Fine, no problem. I was given a layered cut and a perm. No problem normally though it was definitely curlier than I like it I could usually tame it with the hairdryer and curling iron. However, on a whitewater rafting trip with my friend who was gorgeous, always put-together and getting all the ogling looks, our boat got dumped. The rest of the trip I was a drowned poodle with a bad sunburn. She just looked like she had a good day. No more perms, ever!

My worst hair day was when I was in the second grade and my mom decided to cut my bangs the day of school pictures. I threw a fit about my hair getting cut, and then I ended up with crooked bangs in my school photos. lol!
My worst hair day was when I was sick. I didnt brush it at all that day so it got tangled up and it was horrible the next day to get all the tangles out.

My worst hair day ever was one day when I had to go to work. My hair got wet by the rain. Then when it started to dry, it started to frizz!

nice!
My worst hair day ever was my friend's wedding. We hadn't had the hairdresser practice ahead of time, and she wound up giving me a beehive! And we're talking in like 1998!
So instead of the bride relaxing before her wedding, she was helping me wash my hair!
The horrible spiral perm I got in junior high right in time for picture day gets honorable mention, but I think the worst was when at 18, my best friend and roommate and I decided doing highlights would be easy. I could do hers, she could do mine, no need to hire a professional. We ended up at a salon, both of us in tears where the stylist shook his head, laughed and said "Well, if there's a hairdresser in the family it's you (looking at me) but I wouldn't quit your job just yet.
Once upon a time I decided that silver spray paint would look great in my hair. I was 13 so there are no excuses...

I was about to leave for college and my regular stylist was out on maternity leave, so I went to her best friend for a perm. BIG MISTAKE!!! I had bad hair days for months waiting for my hair to grow out.
